Overview: Margo has been using Ruth’s picture piecing method for many years now and her own individual style has emerged (see Margo's Gallery). In this class, Margo uses Ruth’s excellent instructional book, “Piecing Workshop” to teach these unique piecing techniques which “virtually guarantees the ability to piece almost anything”. By completing the exercises you will learn how to sew small pieces, straight lines, curves, and inset patches while assembling a sapleer wallhanging. Then using your new piecing skills choose one of the two projects: Maple Leaf (straight-line) or Water Lily (curved). Attention will be given to applying these methods to your own designs.
