Prerequisite: Students should be very familiar with Ruth’s freezer paper piecing method and have completed a project either in a previous workshop or on their own using this method.
Overview: Using “Design Workshop”, Ruth’s‘companion’ book to her “Piecing Workshop”, learn how to create your own original pieced art quilts. Margo has been designing her own original works using these methods for several years and has a thorough understanding of the complex design process. Students will be introduced to: designing simple and complex designs, pattern drafting, fabric ‘auditioning’ and construction and quilting methods.
